Warehouse Supervisor

Job Category Services Job Description

• Responsible for executing different activities of the particular warehouse in a particular shift e.g. receiving, tallying, quality check, storage, stock management, movement of goods out of warehouse for sale and return goods handling, and safety and sanitation.
• Assist the Assistant Manager - Warehouse to ensure availability of sufficient resources (e.g. labor, drivers) to carry out the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and prepare daily shift rosters for the staff in the warehouse.
• Suggest hiring of temporary labor for warehouse activities depending on the shift roster plans and staff requirements and coordinating with agencies for supply of such labor.
• Settle payment of wages for the temporary laborers after sign-off from In-charge – Warehouse through accounts at the Business Unit.
• Monitor on a daily basis the tallying of goods received with purchase order and reconciliation of any discrepancies.
• Direct and monitor the proper storage of the goods e.g. stacking & binning as well as the proper documentation during a particular shift.
• Direct and monitor the loading of sales vans with goods basis work orders received.
• Obtain instructions from In-charge Warehouse to implement new policies devised by Purchase section in coordination with Quality Control and/or Coordinate the Assistant Manager - Loss Prevention.
• Prepare report or provide data requested by Senior Manager - Warehouse & Logistics and Purchase (or Assistant Manager - Warehouse) and suggest possible improvements.
• Allocate work to subordinates, nominate for training as per the organization’s guidelines and manage leave and overtime to ensure the efficiency of the group.
• Ensure that subordinates are aware and familiar with assigned tasks and responsibilities.

Skills

• Computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, related business and communication tools.
• Knowledge in SAP will be an added advantage.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Education/Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree is a plus.
• Background in logistics, warehouse, supply chain management, or a related field.
• 4 to 8 years in warehouse function in the FMCG or other similar industries.
