Al Doseri Ventures Manama We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. This role is responsible for preparing and overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulations, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and examine financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Coordinate tax returns preparation and ensure timely filing.
- Monitor financial transactions and prepare regular reports for management.
- Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights for cost control.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior accounting staff.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or ACCA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in Bahrain.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
