Director - Digital Engineering(COR701)

Qiddiya Investment Company is pioneering the next generation of entertainment and lifestyle experiences, and we are looking for a visionary Director - Digital Engineering to join our leadership team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and overseeing our digital engineering strategies, ensuring the effective integration of advanced technologies in our projects.

Responsibilities

1. Define and evolve best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines for Digital Products engineering working with Enterprise Architect.
2. Design and lead the architecture for Digital Products working with digital partner.
3. Drive the selection and integration of appropriate frameworks and services.
4. Ensure digital products are scalable, resilient, fault tolerant, and extensible to broader future needs.
5. Ensure digital products adhere to security standards and compliance requirements.

Communication & Collaboration

1. Collaborate cross-functionally with digital partner, Enterprise Architect, product managers, designers, and back-end engineers.
2. Collaborate with data and analytics architecture team to ensure guest data availability in data platform.
3. Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
4. Act as a point of escalation for critical technical challenges.

Self and Team Learning

1. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to the front-end development team.
2. Encourage a culture of learning, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or similar disciplines.
2. 12+ years of experience building highly scalable interactive web and/or mobile applications.
3. Experience building highly scalable, low latency, and fault tolerant consumer facing applications.
4. Track record of advocating for the adoption of strong software architecture, development of best practices, and new technologies.
5. Track record of driving complex projects, holding the highest standards of quality and balancing between pragmatic and ideal solutions.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
7. Strong mentorship and leadership skills with proven record of growing people into broader roles.
