  • Key Responsibilities
  • SHES Oversight:
  • Monitor and support contractors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to SHES plans and procedures.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings, including Toolbox Talks and Task Instructions, and coach teams on safety practices.
  • Safety Leadership:
  • Promote a strong safety culture aligned with client mission and values.
  • Lead safety awareness initiatives and support incident investigation programs like Observation & Intervention.
  • Compliance Monitoring:
  • Review contractor SHES plans and ensure site compliance with Site regulatory standards.
  • Verify and mentor SHES personnel to maintain high standards in safety performance.
  • Field Presence:
  • Maintain a visible and proactive presence in the field to promote safety and address any SHES-related concerns.
  • Support safety reviews, audits, and pre-startup safety assessments.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams, contractors, subcontractors, and external regulatory bodies.
  • Facilitate communication and problem resolution to uphold SHES compliance.
Skills
  • Qualifications and Experience
  • NVQ Level 5 in SHES or 15+ years of equivalent experience.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent.
  • SHES Lead Auditor Certification and training in Root Cause Analysis (e.g., TapRooT, Tripod Beta).
  • Experience:
  • 10+ years in occupational health and safety, with experience in large-scale international projects.
  • Familiarity with Tier-1 EPC contractors and onshore production facility construction.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing safety programs.
  • Competency in problem-solving, multitasking, and teamwork.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
