The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning and design, project budgeting, and supporting the management of the civil engineering aspect of Agility Logistics Parks’ (ALP) projects.
Your Responsibilities
- Planning and design including the preparation and review of design documents for new construction or renovation projects.
- Designing and overseeing the construction of infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet technical standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
- Conducting site assessments, performing hydraulic analyses, designing road alignments and stormwater collection systems, and coordinating with utility providers, all with a commitment to delivering sustainable and resilient infrastructure solutions.
- Assess potential construction sites, check existing structures for upgrades, and analyze survey reports, maps, drawings and other data to plan projects.
- Consider construction costs, government regulations, potential environmental hazards, and other factors in planning stages and risk analysis.
- Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.
- Create drawings and schematics of projects using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Compile and submit permit applications to local and state agencies verifying that projects comply with various regulations.
- Ensure that building materials used in particular projects are in compliance with the projects’ specifications and are subjected to the appropriate testing procedures.
- Complete cost estimations for materials, equipment, and labor for all phases of construction projects, and develop the complete budget to determine a project’s economic feasibility.
- Monitor progress and compile project status reports.
- Comply with standards, guidelines and regulations, and deliver technical documentation/files as required.
- Manage projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner.
- Perform a final evaluation of completed structures to ensure compliance to local codes and specifications.
- Drive quality through the continuing pursuit of excellence in all aspects of work and reinforce importance of high work standards.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Eight to ten years of experience as a Civil Engineer
Your Proficiencies
- Proficiency in computer-aided design tools
- Committed to complying with various codes and regulatory standards for quality and safety.
- Ability to identify issues, obstacles, and opportunities, and then develop and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and verbal and written communication skills.
