Joining KPMG Ireland is an opportunity to enhance your career, not only in the work that you enjoy doing, but equally through the global connections that you make, the lifelong learning that you can accomplish and the chance to make your mark.Are you our next Associate Director (GIS & Research)?Location: Dublin, as part of our hybrid working model.Grade: Associate DirectorContract type: PermA snapshot of your peer group:5 years' experience working in a relevant geospatial profession, preferably involving Geographical Information Systems (GIS) to a large degree.Significant expertise in conducting geospatial analysis and methods using GIS software (ArcGIS and/or QGIS knowledge) and associated web technologies will be required.Experience leading or playing a significant contributory role in the delivery of data-led Spatial Analytics, Business Intelligence, Remote Sensing or Big Data projects.Relevant industry experience (professional or academic) from the fields of urban planning, land-use, transport, property or economic sectors in Ireland will be considered favourably. Applicants without such exposure should provide examples of relevant experience.Excellent analytical report writing, communication & presentation skills are required to effectively deliver public and private sector projects in a consultancy environment and should be demonstrated.Be able to work to their own initiative, demonstrate independence and reliability.Should enjoy solving challenges, discovering solutions, and working on projects which cover a range of different subject areas.Able to evaluate, transform, process and enrich data from disparate sources.Your responsibilities and achievements will evolve as you enhance your career with us. Here is what you can initially expect:Lead a team of direct reports across a range of diverse but relevant technical backgrounds and should be able to interface seamlessly with all levels of management.Proactively participate in the performance management process to ensure delivery of wider development objectives and help build capacity within the team over time and should have strong interpersonal skills to support this.Translate client requirements into actionable tasks, supported by best practice methodologies/approaches. Must be able to develop project plans from a brief to achievable timelines and communicate resourcing requirements (incl. client engagement, budgets, task planning and resource management).Will be responsible for setting and maintaining data management practices and quality assurance. Should be able to develop and maintain data specifications and standards across all business functions and effectively document and communicate GIS standards for project work.Support each project team by managing and creating content library files and templates, enforcing standards, and evaluating project data against business requirements.Your team:In November 2020 KPMG acquired Future Analytics Consulting Ltd., our planning, economics and research consultancy who specialise in the provision of data-driven advice to public and private sector clients. As Future Analytics sits within the wider Deal Advisory practice, you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally across a variety of teams. The KPMG Future Analytics team currently consists of circa. 35+ management and staff members across planning, economics, research and data analytics.
