Job Description
- Work on collecting, storing, processing, and analyzing data from a variety of formats and back-end systems.
- Building integrated data pipeline that allows the business to draw valuable insight from the data lake and data warehouse; self-driven and thrive on applying innovative techniques, making sense of complex data environments, applying engineering knowledge and the latest techniques in big data, machine learning, and data science in a commercial product.
- Build self-monitoring, robust, scalable, reusable interfaces and data pipelines for 24/7 operations.
- Design and implement ELT/ETL processes to enrich our growing cloud-based data lake and data warehouses.
- Make ongoing enhancements to our dynamic data foundation framework.
- Analyze structured and unstructured data, visualize findings, and discover insights via data modeling, machine learning, and optimization techniques.
- Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
- Assist the evaluation, selection, and implementation of tools for data integration, analytics, machine learning, and visualization.
- Perform ongoing support, release upgrade, data model changes, reporting enhancements, and implementations to other group entities.
- Work closely with stakeholders on the data supply side (domain experts on source systems of the data) and data demand side (data analysts and data scientists).
- Develop machine learning related applications.
Job Requirements
- Degree Holder in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or equivalent discipline.
- 4-6 years hands-on experience in data warehousing technical components (e.g. Data Modeling, ETL, and Reporting), Business Intelligence tool, infrastructure, and their integration.
- Experience with design, creation, management, and business use of extremely large datasets and scalable ETL processes.
- SQL expertise and hands-on experience in data modeling, data warehousing, pipeline design, and development; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid experience in programming such as SQL / Python / Scala / NodeJS / R.
- Experience with Big Data technologies: Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce, HDFS or Big Data querying tools: Pig, Hive, and Impala is desirable.
- Solid knowledge in server-side web application and middleware framework such as Express.js.
- Expertise with modern and emerging web API standards and technologies (REST, SOAP, XML, and/or JSON) and Data Extract API.
- Proficiency in code versioning tools such as GIT, SVN, CVS.
- Experience in AWS, Google Cloud, or other Public cloud environments is highly desirable.
- Good to have: Solid knowledge in server-side web application and middleware framework such as Express.js; proficiency in machine learning framework (TensorFlow) and algorithms (regression, decision tree); experience with NoSQL databases, such as HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis; experience with building stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Storm or Spark-Streaming (preferable); BI knowledge and experience (e.g. Tableau, Qliksense, MS Power BI); knowledge in mobile app development.
- Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and capable of implementing solutions by using them to provide new functionality to users.
- Strong sense of responsibility and passion for emerging technology.
- Working experience in the digital media industry is a plus.
