Job Description

1. Work on collecting, storing, processing, and analyzing data from a variety of formats and back-end systems.
2. Building integrated data pipeline that allows the business to draw valuable insight from the data lake and data warehouse; self-driven and thrive on applying innovative techniques, making sense of complex data environments, applying engineering knowledge and the latest techniques in big data, machine learning, and data science in a commercial product.
3. Build self-monitoring, robust, scalable, reusable interfaces and data pipelines for 24/7 operations.
4. Design and implement ELT/ETL processes to enrich our growing cloud-based data lake and data warehouses.
5. Make ongoing enhancements to our dynamic data foundation framework.
6. Analyze structured and unstructured data, visualize findings, and discover insights via data modeling, machine learning, and optimization techniques.
7. Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
8. Assist the evaluation, selection, and implementation of tools for data integration, analytics, machine learning, and visualization.
9. Perform ongoing support, release upgrade, data model changes, reporting enhancements, and implementations to other group entities.
10. Work closely with stakeholders on the data supply side (domain experts on source systems of the data) and data demand side (data analysts and data scientists).
11. Develop machine learning related applications.

Job Requirements

1. Degree Holder in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or equivalent discipline.
2. 4-6 years hands-on experience in data warehousing technical components (e.g. Data Modeling, ETL, and Reporting), Business Intelligence tool, infrastructure, and their integration.
3. Experience with design, creation, management, and business use of extremely large datasets and scalable ETL processes.
4. SQL expertise and hands-on experience in data modeling, data warehousing, pipeline design, and development; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Solid experience in programming such as SQL / Python / Scala / NodeJS / R.
6. Experience with Big Data technologies: Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce, HDFS or Big Data querying tools: Pig, Hive, and Impala is desirable.
7. Solid knowledge in server-side web application and middleware framework such as Express.js.
8. Expertise with modern and emerging web API standards and technologies (REST, SOAP, XML, and/or JSON) and Data Extract API.
9. Proficiency in code versioning tools such as GIT, SVN, CVS.
10. Experience in AWS, Google Cloud, or other Public cloud environments is highly desirable.
11. Good to have: Solid knowledge in server-side web application and middleware framework such as Express.js; proficiency in machine learning framework (TensorFlow) and algorithms (regression, decision tree); experience with NoSQL databases, such as HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis; experience with building stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Storm or Spark-Streaming (preferable); BI knowledge and experience (e.g. Tableau, Qliksense, MS Power BI); knowledge in mobile app development.
12. Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and capable of implementing solutions by using them to provide new functionality to users.
13. Strong sense of responsibility and passion for emerging technology.
14. Working experience in the digital media industry is a plus.
