One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments are looking to engage an experienced Java Developerto assist with Java development tasks for the critical maintenance of intelligence and Information Systems. You will also look after service line applications and support projects associated with the uplift of new and existing ICT capabilities. The role will be based in Canberrawith the successful Java Developer to be offered an initial contract until June 2025 with 2 X 12 month extension options.
The successfulJava Developer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Designing, developing and documenting software system components to meet ongoing business requirements
- Support and maintenance of a number of production/lower environment applications
- Development and updating of technical specifications and technical support plans
- Closely working with System Business Owners in regard to system analysis and system design
The successful Java Developer will have experience in the following:
- Experience in the development of enterprise web applications implemented in Java and Oracle
- Demonstrated experience in integrating software products from third party vendors including COTS, Bespoke or Government off the shelf
- Demonstrated knowledge of information technology infrastructures in which software is deployed
- Experience translating technical information for non-technical audiences
