We are currently seeking a Full Time Commis Chef to join the professional and dynamic kitchen team. As a Commis Chef you will get to work within a dynamic hotel F&B operation across breakfast lunch & dinner helping to create memorable culinary moments for our guests. Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair within the cost margins specified by the hotel.
- Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage. Have stock control procedures implemented and maintained.
- Keep all working areas clean and tidy including washing dishes and kitchen cleaning. Ensure all equipment is maintained serviced and cleaned. Report any problems to the Head Chef
- Trade qualification and experience in a similar role preferably within a hotel or restaurant environment experience in dinner service required.
- Excellent technical knowledge with experience in a variety of cooking techniques and styles.
- Exemplary communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to maintain high and consistent standards.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain food safety standards and understanding of HACCP.
