Position Overview: We are looking for a Compliance Officer who is passionate about financial compliance and eager to help combat financial crime. In this role you will play a key part in monitoring transactions conducting due diligence and ensuring adherence to AML (AntiMoney Laundering) and CTF (CounterTerrorism Financing) regulations. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment and make a tangible impact on the future of cryptocurrency. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence on new and existing customers to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor transactions and activities for suspicious behavior and potential money laundering risks.
- Investigate and analyze unusual patterns discrepancies and financial anomalies to mitigate fraud and financial crime.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement and refine AML policies and procedures in line with regulatory frameworks.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate records and documentation related to AML compliance efforts.
- Stay informed on the latest regulatory developments and industry best practices in AML and CTF.
- Education: Bachelors degree in finance accounting business administration or a related field.
- Experience: 25 years of experience in cryptocurrencyrelated financial compliance particularly with AML (AntiMoney Laundering) regulations. Prior experience in crypto compliance is preferred.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as FINTRAC (Canada) and AUSTRAC (Australia).
- Knowledge of KYC software (e.g. SumSub).
- Strong analytical skills to identify patterns anomalies and financial discrepancies .
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams .
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to integrity and professionalism.
- Junior level in Canada (12 years experience nonmanagerial); Senior level in Australia .
- Must be able to conduct forensic analysis with minimal training.
- $65K/year (Canada Junior)
- $120K/year (Australia Senior)
