Senior Community Engagement Officer (Stakeholder Specialist), Sonder.
Adelaide SA. Community Development (Community Services & Development).
Full time. $85,000 + $95,000 + Super + PD Allowance.

Sonder is the lead agency of headspace Adelaide, headspace Edinburgh
North, headspace Marion and headspace Onkaparinga.

Hours: This role is part-time, 0.4 FTE
Location: This role is based at headspace Adelaide (CBD); however, it
will involve regular visits to our other headspace locations as
required (Onkaparinga, Marion and Edinburgh North).
About the Role: The Senior Community Engagement Officer works as a
conduit and capacity builder within a multidisciplinary mental health
team to assist with the planning, organisation and implementation of
community education activities across Sonder-led headspace centres.
While this role has a focus on Early Psychosis, it supports all
headspace programs in ensuring stakeholder awareness of our services
and referral pathways. These stakeholder education activities are done
in partnership with program, leads and key clinical team members
across the headspace programs.
A key component of the Senior Community Engagement Officer role is to
develop and maintain resources required to deliver service overviews
and centre tours to key stakeholders; this includes linking program
leads and clinical staff in with stakeholders to facilitate the
overviews and tours for each program. In addition, there is an
expectation for specific Early Psychosis service overviews to be
co-facilitated by the Senior Community Engagement Officer.
Experience Requirements: Experience in the planning and delivery of
community engagement and youth participation strategies and programs.
Experience with working with young people living with or who have
experienced a mental health issue. Experience and expertise with
social media as a communication tool, including podcast experience.
Experience in public speaking and facilitating educational workshops
and groups. Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced
environment.
Qualifications and Other Requirements: Drivers License (Preferred),
Knowledge and experience in using the Microsoft suite of software and
databases.
Relevant tertiary qualifications include the following: Youth Work,
Community Development, Social Planning, and social and behavioral
science. Occupational therapy and social work. Health Sciences (Health
Promotion). Or another relevant field.
Or demonstrated substantial and extensive experience in the youth
sector. Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check
(WWCC). Some out-of-hours work is required.
