About the Role We are looking for kind, caring and reliable Support
Workers to join our team located in the Kogarah/Sydney area in New
South Wales. Be rewarded in contributing to empowering our young
people and people living with disability offering consistent, holistic
support for individuals to build their capacity and achieve their
goals. In this role, you will be working directly with young people
living with complex trauma and psycho-social challenges, as well as
people living with disability.
We are looking for people with strong professional values of care,
social justice, creativity, and joy to join our team in providing
care, happiness, and supporting independence to those we support. We
are looking for individuals who are able to remain calm under
stressful situations and be natural problem solvers.
You will join our team of support workers who provide community access
support or in-home support to children, young people or people with
disabilities to help them to achieve their goals and build their
independence into the future. This could be mentoring support,
developing their living skills, or promoting their skill development
to achieve their future goals in home or in community.
This role will require you to have your full unrestricted driver's
license and comprehensive car insurance. Use of your own vehicle will
be required and compensated.
This is strictly a smoke/vape-free work zone due to working with young
people.

Services is based across the Maitland, Newcastle, Taree, Gold Coast,
Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Sydney, and Wollongong regions.

Skills and experience
Qualifications: Minimum Diploma in Community Services OR Minimum 5
years’ experience in Youth Work. (Candidates currently working
towards a Bachelor in Psychology, Social Work, OT or Speech are
strongly encouraged to apply.)
Experience in out-of-home care, child protection services, NDIS,
psychology or allied health services.
Experience working directly with children, young people OR people with
disability with complex support needs and disabilities, preferably in
child protection or out-of-home care services.
Experience in positive behavior support and functional assessment data
collection, including completing incident reports, shift notes, QR
codes and ABC data.
Highly developed capacity for emotional self-regulation, including the
capacity to set and maintain consistent boundaries to provide safety,
stability and consistency. Full unrestricted drivers license and
comprehensive car insurance. The skillset to bring love, care and joy
