As a member of ASB's Financial Crime operations team you will help protect ASB and its customers from the impact of Financial Crime. You will contribute in a meaningful way to the protection of Aotearoa New Zealand from organised crime, modern slavery, extreme right-wing groups, and other activity which places New Zealand at risk. We have a number of associate analyst positions across all of our Financial Crime teams at ASB. These positions are critical in the management of financial crime to comply with Anti Money Laundering (AML) / Counter Terrorism Financing (CTF) legislation, obligations and ASB regulatory requirements. Mo te tūranga | About the role: As a contributor in the Financial Crime Operations Centre of Excellence, you will be responsible for assessing customer data and liaising directly with customers to collect outstanding information and meet compliance requirements. You will analyse information received from various internal and external sources to make sound decisions as to the next steps ensuring a seamless banking experience whilst meeting our regulatory obligations.
- Adhere to internal policies regarding customer due diligence, enhanced customer due diligence, ongoing customer due diligence and transaction monitoring.
- Ensure accurate and detailed records are maintained.
- Personally develop and maintain a strong risk focus. Understand the risks of your business to be able to identify and escalate where appropriate.
- A naturally inquisitive and investigative mind, with the ability to ensure confidentiality is always maintained.
- Operational knowledge of Banks internal systems, policies and products would be advantageous.
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver right first-time outcomes with minimal oversight.
- Timely decision making and strong customer focus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
