Proudly New Zealand-owned and operated, we offer exceptional Kiwi service and reliable products. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Estimator to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting business operations, managing client communications, as well as estimating and costing tasks. Key Responsibilities:- Cost Estimations : Manage the estimating process by ensuring that all estimates and project plans comply with relevant New Zealand building regulations, industry standards, and health and safety requirements. Offer suggestions on techniques, materials, and construction methods, contributing to the company's reputation for efficiency and innovation.
- Customer Assistance : Address customer inquiries via phone and email, providing timely and professional resolutions while upholding company standards.
- Tender Support : Manage the tendering process by liaising with builders, project managers, and architects, bid preparations, and handling related administrative tasks.
- Office Operations : Conduct general administrative duties, maintain office cleanliness, and support team operations to ensure a smooth office environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to cost management.
- Proficient in the use of CAD software or similar with the ability to analyse detailed plans, gather information from suppliers, and update pricing as needed.
- Previous experience in estimating and office administration a must.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and negotiate effectively.
- Proficiency in office software (email, spreadsheets, databases).
- Ability to make firm decisions and lead the process.
- Experience in health and safety management is a plus.
