Description Mission Statement: Support the Market Manager in marketing and sales activities and implementing HV Business strategies. Contribute to the achievement of profitable and sustainable sales targets for the Business Unit portfolio in the Country. Support Account Managers in maximizing the value of their accounts and increasing account penetration. Your Responsibilities:

  1. You will provide technical support and quotations for the High Voltage products to the customers.
  2. You should be well versed with all commercial terms & conditions applicable for offer preparation.
  3. You will develop a tendering strategy based on market intelligence and in-house experience and expertise.
  4. You will interpret substation single line diagrams, substation layouts, Bill of materials, specifications, and other relevant documents of customers for bid preparation feasibility study - technical/strategic positioning, and commercial viability.
  5. You will engage with customers to learn and understand the drivers influencing their specifications. Work out ideas on how to influence customer buying criteria.
  6. You will gather business and market intelligence to assist with sales strategy.
  7. You will assist in monitoring the market and trends in the industry to develop and identify future customers and openings for Hitachi Energy.
  8. You will proactively look for new areas or new applications for the local market that Hitachi Energy can target and grow its customer base.
  9. You should understand how Hitachi Energy products and service offerings can provide value to the customers and do product and market analysis for the existing customer base.
  10. You will apply the “Customer Care Response Process” when necessary. Close collaboration with the factory for providing solutions or remedies to the customers.
  11. You must support management with analysis and reporting of Sales Force Dot Com (SFDC) data for leads and opportunities management, customer contact activity, and pipeline.
  12. You will identify partnership opportunities and participate in the definition of partnership agreements or joint ventures.
  13. You should take care of your own personal health, safety, and environment (HSE) and comply with business standards and regulations in the Country in the area of responsibility. Personally, live the Hitachi values and Group standards.
  14. You will collaborate with all related internal local and global contacts to ensure alignment, efficiency, and effectiveness in the implementation of the respective local business strategy. Identify and promote local business-led collaboration opportunities/needs.
  15. You will, in line with the sales team strategy, support management with developing appropriate relationships with customers and key accounts.
  16. You will work closely with the product feeder factories' project managers for project execution.

Your Background:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of Electrical Engineer experience.
  3. Exposure to medium/large scale market analysis projects and strategic plans.
  4. Understanding of contract law.
  5. Technical competence (understand software, hardware, networks, etc.).
  6. Knowledge of electrical and automation technologies/industries.
  7. Familiarity with the New Zealand Electricity grid (desired).
  8. Knowledge of New Zealand Electricity services markets (desired).
  9. A working knowledge of SAP.
