Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: As summer heats up, Ventia is hiring additional Leasehands for the Oil & Gas industry. This role involves physically demanding tasks in remote locations across Queensland and Western Australia, with a 15:13 roster. The Leasehand position is similar to a Trade Assistant role. You’ll be on the move—fetching equipment, assisting with site cleaning, and supporting the crew with various tasks to ensure operations run smoothly. On top of gaining hands-on experience, you'll also be enrolled into Certificate II in Oil & Gas Drilling (Onshore) and Well Servicing—just like an apprenticeship. This is your opportunity to learn the ropes, develop your skills, and kickstart your career in the Oil & Gas sector. Duties Include:
- Rigging Up and Down: Assist with rigging up and down the site for each job.
- Vehicle & Equipment Prep: Prepare vehicles and equipment for action, ensuring everything is in working order.
- Manual Labour: Help with a variety of physical tasks as directed by the rig crew.
- SiteCleaning: Keep the site, including the smoko shack, clean and tidy, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for the crew.
- General Maintenance: Assist with general maintenance and site upkeep to keep operations running smoothly.

- A manual driver’s licence (Car or higher)

- A positive attitude and team mentality, as you'll be working alongside a close-knit crew in some of Australia’s most remote locations
- Willingness to commit to a 15/13 roster, working 12-hour shifts, with the flexibility to adapt to the demands of the role
