Data Scientist

As our new Data Scientist, you'll apply cutting-edge analytical, statistical, and machine learning techniques to solve complex business problems and generate actionable insights. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop predictive models, and communicate your findings through impactful reports and presentations. You'll maintain data quality and stay at the forefront of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI. This is a permanent full-time role open to all our offices in Aotearoa (New Zealand). To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally meet the below criteria:

1. Proficiency in FastAPI & prior experience with tools such as LlamaIndex, SciPy, and Benchling.
2. Experience working with large language models, including those from Hugging Face, Gemini, and OpenAI APIs.
3. A startup background is highly desirable, indicating a well-rounded skillset and depth of experience.
4. Demonstrated ability to build and provision models using real-world data.
5. Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.
6. Proficiency in data science tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
