Consultant Ophthalmologist
Reference: 6672671 Location: Wairarapa Hospital Service: Maternity Services Contract: Permanent Vacancy Ref #: 6672671 Te Whatu Ora Wairararapa provides comprehensive health services throughout the Wairarapa District, with its base at Wairarapa Hospital in Masterton. The hospital supplies a range of core services to the community including general and orthopaedic surgery, general medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics, and mental health services. Other services are supplied by visiting specialists, including ophthalmology. The Wairarapa region offers a fantastic lifestyle with quality schools, strong community spirit, great beaches and rivers, world-class vineyards, and mountain ranges. This is a place you can call home. Wairarapa Hospital is based in Masterton and is within two hours from both Hutt Hospital and Wellington Hospital. Daily rail services link Wairarapa with the Wellington region, including the International Airport and Inter-Island ferry connections. Working at Health New Zealand - Wairarapa, you will become part of an enthusiastic, dynamic, and committed team providing a modern and innovative approach to healthcare, with opportunities for professional development. Te Whatu Ora Wairarapa provides secondary services for a population of approximately 50,000, offering 24-hour acute and elective care in general and orthopaedic surgery, medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry, and paediatrics. This is a full-time position, working 80 hours per fortnight, although part-time hours will be considered. Applicants must be eligible for Vocational registration with the New Zealand Medical Council.
