About the role
We are searching for a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our team at Education Perfect. As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department by handling various financial tasks, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and assisting with financial analysis.What you will do
- Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) system and process employee expense claims
- Manage the finance inbox, responding to queries in a timely manner
- Process sales invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and internal staff as needed
- Follow up with debtors to meet collection targets
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements accurately and on time
- Ensure alignment of sales data between CRM and accounting systems
- Support the month-end close process with journal entries and reconciliations
- Assist with weekly and monthly financial reporting
- Perform other ad-hoc finance duties as required
About you
- Recently completed an Associate or bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- Based in Dunedin and available for a full time role
- Proficient in MS Excel and other financial software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
