Job details

Reporting to the Claims Manager, you’ll manage and assess claims according to company policies. You’ll review all relevant information, identify issues, and develop solutions before approving valid claims for payment. You’ll use your experience to spot potential issues early and your problem-solving skills to provide potential solutions and areas for improvement. Responsibilities:

  1. Review claims in accordance with the policy.
  2. Offer detailed verbal and written guidance on all aspects of the policy wording related to any claims issues.
  3. Accurately assess claims and respond to claimants professionally, outlining the requirements for prompt settlement.
  4. Escalate any claims with issues or those exceeding authority limits.
  5. Monitor claim recovery and obtain recoverable amounts promptly.
  6. Give feedback to the Claims Manager and Head of Operations on adverse trends, frequent claims, or policy loopholes.
  7. Provide feedback where appropriate on processes in place with a focus on efficiency and best practice.

  2. Proven ability to communicate information accurately and present ideas effectively to influence others.
  3. The capacity to gather, interpret, and evaluate intricate information from various sources to make informed decisions.
  4. A proactive and results-driven attitude with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  5. Skilled at navigating conflict, embracing change, and solving problems in a fast-paced environment.
  6. A strong understanding of business principles and practical judgment.
