Whakarongorau supports a range of primary care clinics across Aotearoa, providing continuity of care for primarily high-needs rural communities and priority populations. This is a contract role for clinics (Monday – Friday primarily). Responsibilities include:- Provide care tailored to meet the unique needs of registered patients.
- Collaborate with clinics to deliver optimal healthcare services.
- Conduct remote telehealth consultations.
- Understand local services and work to overcome access barriers.
Qualifications
You will be a Mātanga Tapuhi (Nurse Practitioner) with appropriate experience in Primary Care who is passionate about delivering high-quality care to rural, high-needs and vulnerable communities, who face many challenges and barriers to access quality health care. You will be committed to providing compassionate, culturally responsive, patient-whānau centred care, and able to work collaboratively with the clinic team.- Strong communication, relationship-building & teamwork skills.
- Experience in remote work is preferable but not essential.
- Commitment to a recurrent roster.
- Integrate understanding and learnings of Te Ao Māori, Tikanga and Te Reo into approach and delivery of care.
- A high-speed fibre internet connection & a high-spec computer capable of handling high-demand software.
- A multi-screen setup, headset, printer, and scanner.
