Role Overview: Motor Boy plays a key role in supporting logistics and transportation operations. They assist drivers in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods, while maintaining the safety and security of items during transit. Key Responsibilities:

1. Loading and Unloading:

  • Assist in the loading and unloading of goods from the vehicle.
  • Ensure that goods are handled with care to avoid damage.
2. Goods Delivery Support:
  • Assist the driver in navigating and finding delivery locations.
  • Help with the safe delivery of goods to clients/customers.
3. Vehicle Maintenance Support:
  • Clean the vehicle and ensure it is kept in good condition.
  • Assist the driver in performing basic vehicle checks, such as checking oil and tire pressure.
4. Documentation:
  • Verify the quantity and condition of goods being transported.
  • Assist in recording and reporting delivery updates to the appropriate department.
5. Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure safety regulations are adhered to during loading, unloading, and transit.
  • Report any irregularities or safety concerns to the driver or supervisor.
6. Customer Interaction:
  • Act professionally when interacting with customers during deliveries.
  • Assist in handling queries or issues during delivery, escalating when necessary.
Key Skills:

  1. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  2. Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure.
  3. Attention to detail for verifying goods and ensuring safety compliance.
  4. Basic understanding of road safety and regulations.
  5. Prior experience in logistics or as a motor boy is an advantage.
  6. Must be punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.
Educational Qualifications: 1. Minimum of Secondary School Certificate (SSCE)
