You'll bring your expertise in animal husbandry, pasture management, and farm operations to optimise productivity while maintaining sustainability and animal welfare. With the support of a local Business Manager, we'll ensure Ahaura Farm continues to thrive as a profitable and innovative Farm. Your key tasks and responsibilities will include: * Managing feed, stock, and financial budgets in line with a robust business plan. * Coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations. * Reporting regularly on performance and analysing data through ag tech systems. * Regular animal health and weighing. The Farm Ahaura Farm is a 274 effective ha property in the Grey Valley area of West Coast, its a flat property running 500 R1 dairy replacements and 500 R2 dairy replacements. Youll be closely connected to Pamus 15 other West Coast farms. About You You will have a positive, can-do attitude as well as strong internal motivation and work ethic and be comfortable working day-to-day on your own. You will also have: * Experience in stock performance, pasture management and feed budgeting * Problem solving ability and excellent communication skills * Technically savvy with a strong interest in farm management systems and record keeping equipment * First class attitude to Health and Safety, Animal Welfare and Environmental Management * Current and full NZ driver's licence Benefits We offer a competitive remuneration package including salary, health and life insurance. This role comes with a comfortable three-bedroom home. Primary schooling is located about 10kms away in the township of Ahaura and secondary schooling is in Greymouth with a bus pick-up close by. The location offers a friendly local community and has easy access to a wide range of activities including hiking, fishing and hunting. To be eligible for this role, you must be available for an in-person interview and have unrestricted legal rights to work in New Zealand.
