Job Location : Lagos Deadline : December 24, 2024 Quick Recommended Links Job Summary- The Team Member, Operations and Settlement is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the settlement and reconciliation division, ensuring efficient and accurate settlement of transactions, and providing exceptional service to customers.
- The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Assist in the daily operations of the retail division, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.
- Support the implementation of operational policies and procedures.
- Ensure accurate and timely settlement of all transfers, bills payment and other payments products of the bank.
- Reconcile transaction records with external counterparties and internal systems.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to settlements.
- Provide exceptional service to customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to enhance customer experience.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and internal requirements.
- Assist in monitoring and managing operational risks
- Participate in internal and external audits as required.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of transactions and settlements.
- Generate regular reports on operational performance and settlement activities.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all transaction-related records.
- Assist in identifying areas for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Participate in the development and implementation of operational enhancements. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the operations division.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good understanding of Payment/Banking operations and settlement processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- High ethical standards and integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in retail operations or transaction settlement.
- Basic Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements is preferred.
- Experience with transaction processing systems and reconciliation is an asset.
