The Department has over 70+ full-time Faculty with a strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate education and research. Residency Programmes are offered in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Adult Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonary Medicine, Nephrology and Dermatology, as well as Fellowship Programmes in Clinical Neurophysiology & Electrodiagnostic Medicine, Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism, Interventional Cardiology and Infectious Diseases. Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in the Section of Internal Medicine, Department of Medicine.Responsibilities
You will have an independent consultant status and undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and specified administrative activities. You will be responsible for taking care of acutely ill, variably complex, patients with multimorbidity, along with a team of residents. You will be responsible for teaching the residents as you round. In the section of Internal Medicine, students are an integral part of the medical teams. Medical education facilitation and supervision of adult learners of various levels, is an essential component of such a position.Requirements
You must have completed a structured postgraduate training program from a reputable institution and possess FCPS, MRCP, American Boards or equivalent qualification in Internal Medicine along with substantial postgraduate experience in Internal Medicine at an internationally recognized, high-quality facility. You should have at least 2 years of experience at the level of Senior instructor or equivalent and evidence of major contribution in two or more papers in peer-reviewed journals is mandatory. In addition, you should have demonstrated scholarship either through research and publications in peer reviewed indexed journals or by virtue of substantial contributions to education.To Apply
