We are expanding our manufacturing control system organization and looking for control system engineers who enjoy working in dynamic, collaborative and diverse global teams to provide support to ExxonMobil manufacturing sites. Currently, we have an opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Control Systems Engineer to join our global team. The role is based in Menara ExxonMobil, Kuala Lumpur. What you will do If successful, you will represent the Business Unit in providing effective above-site manufacturing digital and data optimization support. Key deliverables include:

1. Support process control systems infrastructure (software/hardware) and advanced control applications for refineries and chemical plants
2. Design and engineer computing infrastructure such as servers, operating systems and networks
3. Integrate and deploy advanced control applications into the industrial control systems (ICS) environment
4. Provide effective above-site Control Systems sustainment support
5. Leverage work processes and tools to facilitate effective above-site support, and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency
6. Primary interface for remote engineering support with manufacturing Site Engineers
7. Establish yourself as an extended member of the site Control Systems team
8. Collaborate with Application Engineers to ensure applications infrastructure are operating at optimum level
9. Maintain strong working relationship with Control System Support Team (CSST)
10. Interface with and provide input to SME and Supervisor on issues and opportunities
11. Monitor and surveil integrity parameters to ensure reliable operations
12. Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and provide integrity recommendation stewardship
13. Conduct bad actor identification and analysis to reduce equipment downtime
14. Utilize data analytics, digital tools/technologies to operationalize upgraded work practices
15. Manage overall integrity effectiveness and management including criticality assessments and timely review of inspection findings
16. Coordinate and communicate between various global centers and business affiliates
17. Provide technical mentoring and continuous on-the-job guidance to junior engineers
18. Adapt to an agile and flexible working environment, staying abreast of latest developments in industry standards

About you Skills and Qualifications To be eligible for this role, you must have or be able to demonstrate the following:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology
2. Experience with virtualization, networking, Windows servers, operating systems, Active Directory, domain controllers and/or PowerShell
3. Experience with software configuration, integration, testing and technical documentation
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers
6. Troubleshooting skills, innovative and analytical thinking
7. Intellectual rigor, strong drive and desire to lead change
8. Ability to work in a multi-cultural global team
9. Understanding of operational aspects such as high availability, monitoring, security, and robustness

Preference will be given to those with the following additional skills/abilities:

1. Experience supporting DCS/PLC in manufacturing domain environment
