Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Purpose: The Business Intelligence Analyst uses data to figure out market and business trends for iCar Asia business to increase profits and efficiency. The Business Intelligence Analyst works with cross-functional teams across Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand and gathers this data through various methods; from mining iCar Asia’s computer data through software and industry trends to help develop a picture of where the company stands in the industry and where they can improve. Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing and maintaining data warehouses and data marts.
• Translate requirements from the business and analysts into technical code.
• Build complex queries to match specific business requirements.
• Identify and test for bugs and bottlenecks in the ETL solution.
• Ensure the best possible performance and data quality.
• Utilize ad-hoc techniques to perform on-the-fly analysis of data.
• Maintain and update business intelligence tools by validating the accuracy of the data.
• Provide technical support for existing dashboards and reporting/visualization.
• Create and maintain documentation including requirements, design, and user manuals.
• Responsible for preparing dashboard reports by analyzing and summarizing information and trends.

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information System Management, or equivalent.
• At least 3-5 years of experience participating in data warehousing and business intelligence projects.
• Good working experience with Microsoft BI tools, QlikView, Pentaho BI, and MicroStrategy.
• Knowledge and experience in Tableau and Google Analytics.
• Experience with ETL tools: Pentaho, DataStage, SSIS, Informatica.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and Google BigQuery including some query tuning, data analysis, and integration.
• Familiarity with technologies like Redshift, Linux, and Google Cloud Computing is desired.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Solid experience working for a multinational organization where English is the primary business language and ideally based abroad.
• Experience in the automotive or e-commerce industry.
