Job Purpose: The Business Intelligence Analyst uses data to figure out market and business trends for iCar Asia business to increase profits and efficiency. The Business Intelligence Analyst works with cross-functional teams across Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand and gathers this data through various methods; from mining iCar Asia’s computer data through software and industry trends to help develop a picture of where the company stands in the industry and where they can improve. Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing and maintaining data warehouses and data marts.
- Translate requirements from the business and analysts into technical code.
- Build complex queries to match specific business requirements.
- Identify and test for bugs and bottlenecks in the ETL solution.
- Ensure the best possible performance and data quality.
- Utilize ad-hoc techniques to perform on-the-fly analysis of data.
- Maintain and update business intelligence tools by validating the accuracy of the data.
- Provide technical support for existing dashboards and reporting/visualization.
- Create and maintain documentation including requirements, design, and user manuals.
- Responsible for preparing dashboard reports by analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information System Management, or equivalent.
- At least 3-5 years of experience participating in data warehousing and business intelligence projects.
- Good working experience with Microsoft BI tools, QlikView, Pentaho BI, and MicroStrategy.
- Knowledge and experience in Tableau and Google Analytics.
- Experience with ETL tools: Pentaho, DataStage, SSIS, Informatica.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and Google BigQuery including some query tuning, data analysis, and integration.
- Familiarity with technologies like Redshift, Linux, and Google Cloud Computing is desired.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Solid experience working for a multinational organization where English is the primary business language and ideally based abroad.
- Experience in the automotive or e-commerce industry.
