Role: Social Media Strategist & Content Creator (Viral Marketing) If you instantly get the ‘very demure, very mindful’ reference, we need to talk. At SIP Abacus New Zealand & Australia, we’re on the lookout for a Social Media Strategist + Content Creator to bring their A-game. If you live for good memes and online guerrilla marketing , this one’s for you. Oh, and if you’ve got a hang of academic marketing, it’s a huge plus. This is a remote position. What You’ll Do:
- Create, schedule, and roll out social content calendars.
- Coordinate with the CCO to pitch and execute guerrilla-style campaigns that get folks talking & build awareness.
- Churn out scroll-stopping UGC & EGC video content, challenges, interviews, trivia, content episode series, and more (you’ll be facing the camera in some of the content).
- Develop and execute viral marketing, meme marketing, and moment marketing strategies across socials.
- Manage SIP Abacus New Zealand’s brand voice and tone across socials (think Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube).
- Leverage social listening tools to spot key themes & topics to amp up brand efforts.
- Monitor and analyze social insights & metrics to tweak campaigns and boost performance.
- 3-4 years of experience owning social content.
- Experience in graphic designing tools like Adobe Creative Suite & other video editing software.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Experience in SMM tools (think Khoros, Sprinklr) and project management tools.
- Obsessed with moment marketing and viral marketing.
- Fully comfortable in front of the camera (this is a must).
- A knack for social ads and analytics platforms.
- Ability to distinguish between a good meme and a bad meme, and how to use them both.
