Qualifications Graduate from science Stream – Chemical, Material Science, Polymer science + Packaging Graduate 12-16+ years of experience Preferred Industries-Primary Packaging product with pharmaceutical end application, FMCG. Requirements • Strong technical understanding of pharma packaging application, risk assessment and regulatory requirement (US FDA, DMF)•Self-starter, goal setter, results oriented and performance driven •Ability to manage multiple projects and time demands simultaneously •Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment •Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work •Proven track record of effectively developing New Product Development for various applications – Pharma, Nutraceuticals, FMCG, Agro, Lubes etc •Technical communication skills – report writing and presentation/report out of the new product development work – stage/gate documentation, technical data analysis and report – at the global level •Attention to details, able to conduct statistical analysis and make technical recommendations based the statistical analysis of technical, process, and testing data/results • Strong Technical Knowledge of Various Materials – Foil, Paper, Plastic Films, Adhesives etc •Process Knowledge: Printing, Lamination, Extrusion, Material testing methods / tools etc. •Language: Proficient in Hindi, English – Speak, Read and Write •Geographical Responsibility: PAN India – travel when required Job Responsibilities: •Conceptualization / Exploration of multiple workable Induction Heat Seals concept based on needs / wants for pharmaceuticals and FMCG’s customers. •Identifying potential products for the different markets and developing new products as per market needs. •To make a New Product Development strategy, projects and their execution. •Ensure development of prototype/representative samples. •Feasibility of concept including machine suitability, materials, costing etc. •Ensuring stability/machine/customer trials & clearance for Commercialization. •Successful Commercialization of NPD projects at manufacturing location to meet annual sales and growth targets •Project tracking on ongoing basis to ensure compliance to defined project timelines such as stability, material, manufacturing and Commercialization. •Leading the team of new product packaging development to ensure timely delivery of packaging documents and artworks. •Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive speed, manage cost and quality •Develop strong relationships at key customers across various departments. •Coordinating with respective departments so that customer requirements and delivery plans are fulfill in time. •Meeting new customers for business development to support on technical aspects, attend exhibitions etc. •Strengthening the existing business relationship and closely working with customers and significantly contributing for new alliances / tie ups for business growth. •Develop, modify and implement SOP's defining product development process based on best industry practices. •Develop prototype to production life cycle management documentation. •Develop, modify and implement component classification based on product contact / criticality with Regulatory and QA's help and define validation activity needed for each category of components. •Work with Quality Assurance on vendor validation and qualification. •Work with marketing, Sales team and Supply chain on establishing feasibility of new packaging initiatives •Design experiments (DOE), conduct testing, and statistical analysis (ANOVA) for qualification and validation of the product •Knowledge/experience in IQ, OQ, PQ and conduct the same as required •Prepare product training presentation and sealed samples; present to train (e.g. Liner 101)•Schedule and conduct Teams meet including preparing agenda and recurring meetings to drive projects Skills: •Strong communication skills - proficient in the use of Microsoft word, excel and power point for technical report writing, preparing relevant documentation covering (but not limited to) NPD stage/gate documentation, testing protocols and SOP writing, customer visit write-ups, etc. Oral presentation and report out at the global level •Strong interpersonal skills – interact and build professional relationship with external and internal customers and constructive/collaborative working • Strong knowledge and experience of materials and be able to analyze/ interpret results of the materials and package testing and analysis skills – polymer thermal analysis – DSC, TGA, DMA, spectroscopy – IR, NIR, GC-MS, microscopy (optical, electron), conduct induction heat sealing of packages to qualify liner, transmission rates testing (WVTR, OTR), rheology, package autoclave, retort, foil seal evaluation – vacuum seal test, foil seal removal (peel) force, biodegradable/compostable testing, biomaterials, knowledge/experience in brand packaging and product fill line (product fill, capping, induction heat sealing)•Be able to use statistical tools – Minitab, Excel statistics •Preferred certified six sigma GB or BB
