We are looking for an "individual" who is highly motivated and go beyond the role to expand our footprint in the Indian market. Field Application Engineer (Profile) In this role, you will report directly to the National Sales Manager and support regional sales organizations or customers in identifying technically appropriate, cost-effective solutions, and prepare technical proposal of the products and technologies used to support them. You will serve as a key technical resource for the Indian region.   In collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management, you will assist our Indian customers to select the right connectivity solutions for IoT and Industry 4.0 applications. Together with your teammates, you will be the first point of contact on technical topics regarding our products. You will be working as Technical Sales Specialist and will be part of our team located in Bangalore, India.    About Softing As a specialist of digital data exchange in automation, Softing Industrial Automation provides connectivity among devices, machines, and systems. • Offer technical advice and support in sales engagement, conceptual studies, solution architecture, system requirements, and inquiry specifications for customers for our solutions,
• Perform analytic and diagnostic studies to meet customer needs by proposing optimal technical solutions for complex inquiries,
• Provide technical support during technical meetings, product presentations, and demonstrations,
• Propose system solutions for the integration of production data into higher-level systems,
• Work on the required functionality tests of proposed solutions (PoC, FAT)
• Collaborate with other application engineers and assist in the creation of remote or onsite support and videos,
• Prepare and participate in workshops, trainings, exhibitions, roadshows, etc.

• Highly motivated and self-driven individual
• At least a BE or B Tech in Engineering
• Business proficiency in English
• Minimum 3 years of work experience as FAE or technical sales in process automation, Discrete automation, or IoT industry
• Experience in Steel or Automotive or F&B or Pharma industry is preferable.
• Customer-oriented and enjoy solving technical challenges
• Familiar with MS Office, Salesforce, tools for network analysis & troubleshooting etc.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols, e.g., OPC UA, MQTT, PROFINET, FDT, etc.
• Able to work with customers in a global scale with complicated organizations
• Willingness to work independently with cross-functional international teams
• Ability to travel within India and internationally
