Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technology Planning & Insight Specialist to support our technical team by translating complex technical concepts into clear, concise documents. This is a 12 months contract role and will work in Dublin 2. In this role, you will conduct research, analyze public information, and collaborate with technical experts to produce reports, presentations, and other technical documentation. You will also monitor trends in resource mapping across Ireland and Europe, providing valuable insights to the team. Additionally, you will assist in technical planning, supporting new business directions with relevant technical information and recommendations. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the technical team to understand their needs and provide insights based on publicly available information.
- Conduct technical writing and research to prepare documents such as reports, presentations, and technical summaries.
- Generate regular reports on resource mapping in Ireland and Europe, tracking trends and developments in relevant domains.
- Assist technical experts in analyzing insights and summarizing research papers and articles.
- Follow up on other technical projects, ensuring timely progress and necessary documentation support.
- Provide technical planning recommendations, identifying new business directions, analyzing potential opportunities, and providing relevant technical information and solutions.
- Maintain a broad understanding of key technological areas, offering forward-looking guidance and support based on industry trends.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience as a technical writer, preferably in a technology-driven industry (ICT industry experience is a plus).
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex technical concepts.
- Familiarity with key technology areas such as software, cloud computing, AI, semiconductors, and other emerging technologies, with an understanding of industry dynamics, particularly regarding resources in Ireland and Europe.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to explore, organize, and synthesize technical information.
- Technical planning ability, with experience in supporting new business directions with relevant technical insights and solutions.
- Strong technical writing, report creation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a focus on working effectively within cross-functional teams.
