Purpose of the role We are looking for a motivated Junior Project Manager to assist in the delivery and management of technical projects within our product and platform teams. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to help achieve project goals, meet quality standards, and support customer and business objectives. Experience or familiarity with Agile methodologies is highly desirable. Main Accountabilities
- Assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables, and help create project plans.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and business stakeholders to ensure project tasks are completed, especially within an Agile framework.
- Facilitate scrum ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning and sprint reviews/demos.
- Help manage project budgets and resources, including personnel and technology costs.
- Track key project metrics and support product leadership to ensure project goals are met using Agile practices.
- Monitor project progress and help identify and resolve any issues that may impact delivery.
- Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders, ensuring everyone is informed.
- Support the delivery of projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
- Work with teams and vendors to maintain expected engineering and quality standards.
- Assist in developing and maintaining project documentation, such as project plans, status reports, and Agile artifacts like sprint plans and retrospectives.
- Contribute to improving team processes and methodologies, with a focus on Agile continuous improvement.
- 3-5 years of project management in an Agile environment.
- Experience delivering projects in one or multiple technical fields, such as software development, cloud, digital, data.
- Experience using Jira and other product and engineering management tools.
- Project management certification would be a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and support cross-functional collaboration.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to report on project progress.
- Problem-solving skills to assist in resolving issues and mitigating project risks.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Basic experience or understanding of managing project budgets is helpful.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn and adjust to changing project requirements.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Interest in continuous improvement of work processes and methodologies, particularly in an Agile context.
