Our client is seeking to hire a Payroll & Accounts Payable Assistant in South Mayo
This is a full-time role that will prioritise the processing of the weekly payroll for approximately 150 employees with the balance of available time dedicated to supporting the accounts payable department. Role & Responsibilities- Manage and process payroll for all employees in a timely manner ensuring that timesheets are received and processed.
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, deductions, and benefits.
- Process payroll adjustments, including corrections.
- Address employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and deductions.
- Ensure compliance with Irish payroll regulations, including PAYE, PRSI, and USC.
- Prepare and submit statutory payroll reports and tax filings.
- Utilise payroll software to process payroll and generate reports.
- Maintain and update payroll records and employee information.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll-related financial reports and reconciliations.
- Work closely with HR and accounting departments to streamline payroll procedures and resolve any payroll-related issues.
- Responsible for receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices & supplier statements.
- Check, match and record supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with company policy, including approvals, matching to order number and delivery documentation.
- Posting invoices and credit notes to company accounts package.
- Previous experience in a payroll position.
- Good knowledge of all aspects of payroll processing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Possesses the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise workload and to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).
