Position: MLOps and Backend Engineer Location: Bangalore Employment Type: Full-time Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated MLOps and Backend Engineer to join our growing engineering team. As an MLOps and Backend Engineer at EnergyETA, you will be pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure and AI-powered systems that drive energy optimization in commercial buildings. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and deployment of machine learning models into production environments. - Develop and implement MLOps pipelines for the deployment, monitoring, and scaling of machine learning models in production environments.
- Collaborate with data scientists to ensure smooth model transitions from research to production.
- Automate the model lifecycle from training to deployment using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, or CI/CD.
- Monitor and manage the performance and retraining of deployed machine learning models to ensure continuous improvement.
- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices that enable seamless integration between AI models, databases, and frontend applications.
- Collaborate with the frontend engineering team to deliver cohesive user experiences while ensuring optimal performance of the backend systems.
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability of backend services.
- Implement and optimize data storage solutions, ensuring efficient data handling and fast access for large datasets relevant to energy optimization.
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Must to have: Experience working with NodejS or MLOps tools like Tensoflow, MLflow etc.
- 2-3+ years of experience in MLOps, backend development, or related roles, with a strong understanding of machine learning systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Proficiency in backend development with experience in NodeJS and Python
- Hands-on experience with MLOps tools and frameworks such as TensorFlow Extended (TFX), MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for model deployment and management.
- Expertise in cloud platforms preferable AWS and their associated machine learning and data processing services.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, remote-first team environment.
- Experience with serverless computing frameworks and cloud-based ML infrastructure.
- Familiarity with energy systems, IoT, or commercial building operations is a plus.
- Knowledge of energy optimization algorithms and systems for commercial buildings.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools for monitoring and reporting on energy efficiency.
