About the Role: The Life Underwriting Manager is responsible for the development, performance, governance, and administration of life insurance provisions within the organization. This role ensures efficient service delivery and maximizes performance and value against pre-agreed targets. The position upholds the company's ethics and policies while managing the underwriting department's strategic and operational activities. Skills:
- Post Graduate Diploma (Bachelor Degree + 1 or 2 year diploma) or equivalent degree with 10 years of relevant experience, in which a minimum of 5 years in a management role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Pharmacy, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field (12th Standard + 3 years or 4 years degree) with 12 years of relevant experience.
- FLMI/LOMA/CII certification is required.
- Experience in formulating strategic plans and budgets for the Life Underwriting Department.
- Ability to identify and implement best practices to align with industry trends and standards across the groups.
- Experience in overseeing daily operations, improving procedures, and managing profitability and risk assessment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Preferred bilingual (English and Arabic - reading, writing, and speaking).
