General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Inspects the organization's quality processes to ensure that standards are being met.
  2. Monitors and evaluates the quality of project processes and products.
  3. Specifies, implements, and tests quality management procedures and controls to ensure organizational compliance with regulatory and client requirements.
  4. Identifies areas for improvement and suggests solutions.
  5. Evaluates the effectiveness of internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management processes.
  6. Establishes and maintains an internal audit plan to verify that organizational internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management processes comply with regulatory requirements.
  7. Trains and mentors project staff on quality assurance processes.
  8. Ensures that all project deliverables meet the agreed-upon quality standards.
  9. Liaises with project teams to ensure that quality standards are met.
  10. Develops and maintains quality assurance documentation.
  11. Maintains accurate documentation to support policies and procedures.
  12. Monitors and reports on quality issues and performance.
  13. Develops and maintains quality assurance policies and procedures.
  14. Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  15. Develops and implements procedures and controls to manage quality processes.
  16. Assists Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Operations Manager with quality control.
  17. Maintains and records records of employee qualifications, certifications, and licenses, and documents training and work history.
  18. Performs random, scheduled, and surprise quality audits of job sites, vendors, and other subcontractors.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Management from an accredited university.
  2. Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including as a quality manager for large-scale projects.
  3. Broad knowledge of quality principles/tools and their application to engineering, environmental, procurement, construction, testing, operations, or decommissioning.
  4. Knowledge of the application of corrective actions to reconcile nonconforming conditions.
  5. Knowledge of project management processes and procedures.
  6. Ability to issue NCR and follow up on corrective actions.
  7. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and functions that impact quality.
