Description The Consultant ER with ICU subspecialty provides expert medical care in both emergency and intensive care settings, diagnosing and treating acute conditions in the ER and managing critically ill patients in the ICU. Key Responsibilities:

  • Rapidly assess, stabilize, and treat patients with acute and life-threatening conditions in the Emergency Department.
  • Perform emergency procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and thoracostomy.
  • Coordinate care with emergency specialists, nurses, and support staff.
  • Oversee and manage ICU patients, including those requiring advanced respiratory support, renal replacement therapy, and hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for complex cases involving multiple organ systems.
  • Continuously monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Skills Skills & Competencies:
  • Expertise in emergency and critical care for managing acute conditions;
  • Proficient in ICU procedures like intubation, central line insertion, and ventilation;
  • Skilled in rapid decision-making under pressure;
  • Experienced in diagnostic tools and complex data interpretation;
  • Strong coordination with healthcare teams in critical care;
  • Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and teams;
  • Knowledge of disaster and mass casualty protocols;
  • Committed to evidence-based practices and quality improvement;
  • Ability to mentor and educate medical staff;
  • Resilient in high-stress environments while maintaining well-being.
Education & Qualifications:
  • MBBS and Specialty degree and High Qualification (Specialty Diploma, Fellowship, PhD, European Board (American, Canadian, German, Irish & UK Board);
  • Not less than 20 years of experience, 10 years after the highest qualification degree;
  • Proven experience in emergency and critical care settings;
  • Strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills.
