The Manufacturing Test Engineer is responsible for setting up an efficient manufacturing test process by developing procedures (automated testing) to test mass spectrometer instruments and improving First Pass Yield continuously to meet the organization objectives. You will gain new product knowledge of mass spectrometer in theory and practical as well as enhancing your technical competency in engineering fields. This position is part of the Manufacturing Engineering Department and will be located in Marsiling Industrial Estate, Singapore. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop the commissioning and final tests procedures (automated testing) to meet system requirements.
- Improve and modify manufacturing test software.
- Apply Problem Solving Process to define problem statements, investigate to root causes, verify countermeasures and ensure sustainment.
- Improve the First Pass Yield and parts DPPM failures in Manufacturing.
- Assist instrument installation escalation calls in the field through site visit/remote access if required.
- Expand PCBA troubleshooting skills to detect defective Electrical/Electronics components.
- Perform First Article Evaluation of Electrical/Electronic parts and software.
- Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- 1-2 years of experience working in ISO 13485 manufacturing environment. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Hands on experience in using measuring equipment like digital multimeter, oscilloscope, function generators, etc. during his/her university studies.
- Understand PCBA manufacturing process, able to read the PCBA schematic diagram and perform troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge in analog and digital electronics is desired.
- Ability to travel to North America for 1-2 months during project.
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 10kg daily.
