We are seeking an AVP, Client Relationship and Business Development to join our Corporate Services - APAC team, in our Singapore location. OTC Markets operates in a hybrid work environment (three days in office, two days remotely). This position works out of our Singapore office .
What you’ll do:
- Generate and manage a large pipeline of sales from the initial cold call, through to closing.
- Deepen and broaden strategic relationships within the client at the “C” suite level, IR, and key influencers.
- Develop an intimate understanding of the client’s business, objectives and competitors to better consult and provide solutions.
- Develop strategies for driving sales growth specific to the region assigned.
- Host consultative discussions with senior management at publicly traded companies on investor relations strategy and corporate objectives for trading in the US Market on OTC Markets.
- Leverage market insights to expand sales within the APAC region. Develop targeted strategies to enter new sub-regions or industries, adjusting approaches to local market dynamics and opportunities.
- Manage APAC market data distributor and end-client relationships. Work with Market Data business development team to identify and develop new data distribution and end client relationships in the region.
- Supervise, mentor, and guide an APAC Associate member based in the Singapore office. Provide regular coaching, establish clear objectives, and create development plans that align with both personal and team goals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- This is a relationship management and sales role with thousands of prospects; time management and a strong commitment to sales process is essential. Candidate must have a strong sense of team ethic and enjoy working with others on ad-hoc projects to get the job done.

What we’re looking for:
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years in a Sales and revenue retention environment.
- Strong knowledge of and demonstrated history of performing lead generation through target account selling, outbound cold calling, and calling on marketing-generated leads.
- Relevant experience in financial markets or cross-border Investor Relations is highly preferred.
- Aptitude to become an expert in both the region and subject matter (stock markets, laws, rules for trading etc.). Full training is provided but success will depend on the individual having a keen sense of curiosity and the ability to continue to research and learn in their own time.
- Proven self-starter, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for results.
- Highly energetic and engaging personality with strong people skills and the ability to maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- English is primary with Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills highly preferred.
- Top-notch verbal and written communication skills, responsiveness, and attention to details.
- Proven presentation skills and experience presenting in-person and using Microsoft Teams or similar web presentation tools.
- Previous experience in managing other members of a team.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce for managing CRM activities and pipeline.
- Ability to travel, as needed.
