Job Responsibilities:

  1. Install, configure, and maintain fire alarm devices, detectors, and notification devices.
  2. Test and troubleshoot fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  3. Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on FAS equipment.
  4. Ensure proper wiring and termination of fire alarm components.
  5. Respond to emergency service calls for system failures or malfunctions.
  6. Stay updated on local fire codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  7. Work with fire alarm control panels and devices (e.g., smoke detectors, strobes, sirens).
  8. Test fire alarm systems from manufacturers like Honeywell, Siemens, or Notifier.
  9. Handle wiring, cabling, and terminations for low-voltage systems.
  10. Demonstrate knowledge of fire codes, safety standards (NFPA 72), and inspection procedures.
  11. Utilize diagnostic tools and software for system testing.
  12. Exhibit strong problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
  13. Interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and installation manuals.
  14. Experience with emergency response and troubleshooting under time constraints is a plus.
