Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver engaging lectures on design fundamentals, history, and contemporary issues.
  2. Guide students in exploring and applying design principles in practical projects.
  3. Develop and update course syllabi and learning materials that reflect current trends and innovations in design.
  4. Provide academic and career guidance to students pursuing careers in design and related fields.
  5. Mentor students in developing critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills through studio work and independent projects.
  6. Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate student progress and performance.
  7. Provide constructive feedback on student work, focusing on both technical proficiency and conceptual development.
  8. Coordinate with the academic administration to ensure alignment with program goals and standards.
  9. Advocate for inclusive design practices that consider diverse user needs and cultural contexts.
  10. Teach students the importance of accessibility and ethical considerations in design.

Requirements:

  1. Master's or Ph.D. in Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the university level.
  3. Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in design and communication skills.
  4. Must be fluent in English (Arabic will be an added advantage).
  5. Must currently reside in Qatar and hold a valid Qatari ID.
