Job purpose: Responsible for revenue and budget achievement including P&L analysis and action planning for Groceries, Personal Care, Home Care, Chilled Products, Frozen Products & Beverages. Key responsibilities:

  • Strong Strategic planning experience within the respective FMCG Sector (DRY/DPH/OPSS/BEV).
  • Ability to lead teams, motivate, develop, and retain team members.
  • Passion for Retail is core to the company culture.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
  • Embrace problem solving, developing, and finding real business solutions.
  • Possess a can-do, positive attitude and enjoy working as a part of a dynamic team.
  • Leadership of the commercial team, including recruitment and training.
  • Sales and JBP (Joint Business Planning) with main Supplier accounts.
  • Foster teamwork and a collaborative working environment across the whole organization.
  • Become a key MAT client liaison point developing productive relationships and collaborating extensively with the Commercial Development and Marketing teams.
  • Proactively support the commercial team to identify new business opportunities; if any opportunities for future work are identified, ensure these opportunities are communicated to a relevant senior colleague or the client if appropriate.
Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in any field desirable, although not mandatory given relevant previous retail experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Outstanding knowledge and experience of Store Management and operations.
  • Outstanding understanding of business.
  • Excellent functional knowledge, leadership capabilities, emotional intelligence, proactivity & resourcefulness.
  • Outstanding alertness, communication skills, coordination skills, presentation skills & customer orientation.
  • Excellent strategic orientation & flexibility.
  • Very good accuracy.
Job specific skills:
  1. Proven experience as category manager or similar role.
  2. Solid Knowledge of category management, marketing and sales principles.
  3. Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods; proficient in MS Office.
  4. Analytical mind with a strategic ability.
  5. Excellent communication and people skills.
  6. Strong / Excellent negotiation skills.
