Role Overview As a Senior R&D Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in driving product and process development from concept to commercialization. You’ll develop technologies, materials, and processes, leading major segments of complex projects with a high degree of independence. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge advancements in calcium products while working cross-functionally with teams across marketing, regulatory, quality, and manufacturing. Key Responsibilities
- Drive Innovation: Lead workstreams on Next-Generation products, ensuring compliance, safety, and performance enhancements.
- Collaborate with Experts: Gather customer feedback with marketing, and perform product demos at conferences.
- Concept to Commercialization: Participate in exploratory design, develop pilot processes, prepare specifications, conduct capability studies, and oversee process transfers to manufacturing.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Lead troubleshooting efforts on new product/process issues with cross-functional teams.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare detailed reports, maintain engineering documentation, and ensure regulatory compliance (FDA, ISO, MDD).
- Team Leadership: Train technicians and provide guidance within a multidisciplinary, international team.
- Environmental Stewardship: Work with EHS to evaluate new equipment and processes for environmental impact.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a STEM discipline, ideally Mechanical or Biomedical.
- 6+ years of experience in R&D, with a focus on product development.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
