A leading organisation is seeking a Principal Information Security Consultant to lead and shape the direction of its Security Consulting Practice. About the Role As a Principal Information Security Consultant, you’ll take charge of defining and developing security compliance standards for ICT systems and services while promoting a secure-by-design mindset. You’ll lead a skilled team, driving continuous improvement, fostering a culture of innovation, and embedding scalable, secure, and supportable processes to enable rapid and secure value delivery. Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor the Security Consulting Team, driving security capability and continuous learning.
- Champion secure-by-design principles, ensuring pragmatic solutions across all technical areas.
- Build stakeholder relationships to enhance security awareness and governance.
- Develop and refine operational reporting and metrics to track risk and security objectives.
- Drive innovation, challenge inefficiencies, and adopt new practices to deliver secure outcomes.
- Model leadership behaviors that inspire teams and stakeholders, focusing on customer-centricity and collaboration.
- Proven experience leading security teams or consultants in dynamic environments.
- In-depth knowledge of security frameworks such as NZISM or PSR.
- Expertise in various delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage senior stakeholders.
- Comprehensive understanding of architectural principles and modern technology trends.
- A proactive, customer-focused approach with a passion for innovation and excellence.
