Job Description
Design Comprehensive Production Line Systems :- Develop efficient, streamlined production line designs that optimize workflow and meet specific manufacturing needs.
- Engineer and specify mechanical components for integration into automated and manual production processes.
- Produce and visualize detailed production line layouts, ensuring optimal use of space and smooth material flow.
- Use simulations and modeling software to test and refine production line designs, analyzing performance under different scenarios.
- Evaluate and improve design concepts to maximize productivity while minimizing waste and downtime.
- Identify and solve design challenges during the planning phase, preempting potential issues in implementation.
- Incorporate safety features and ensure designs meet all industry standards for operational reliability and worker safety.
- Modify and optimize designs as needed to address feedback and improve performance metrics.
- Develop accurate cost estimates and project timelines, ensuring alignment with budgetary and scheduling constraints.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure cohesive and efficient production line design.
- Prepare detailed documentation and reports outlining the design rationale, specifications, and expected performance.
- Stay updated on the latest design technologies and methods to continually improve production line efficiency and adaptability.
Job Requirements
Educational Background :- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is often preferred for more advanced positions.
- Proven experience in designing and optimizing production lines, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting (e.g., 3-5+ years).
- Familiarity with full lifecycle product development and design for manufacturability.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) for creating and modifying detailed designs.
- Experience with simulation and analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB) to validate and optimize production line layouts.
- Knowledge of automation technologies and robotics integration.
- Understanding of material handling and production flow concepts.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Experience in preparing and delivering project documentation and design reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify inefficiencies and propose effective design solutions.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including operators, technicians, and management.
- Ability to present design concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- High level of precision and attention to detail in design work to ensure reliability and safety.
- Willingness to adapt designs based on feedback and changing project requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
