We are looking for English teachers for Riyadh, which was founded in 1597. Due to continued growth, there is an outstanding opportunity for English Specialist Teachers (Year 5 - Year 7) to join a talented and dedicated team ASAP. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates may have the chance subsequently to undertake a leadership or management role, and grow with the group as it expands its network of schools. Subject specialists work closely with Class Teachers, ensuring a collaborative approach to teaching and learning across the Year Groups. - Make effective use of Teaching Support Assistants to support children in class
- Follow the school procedures for assessing, recording and reporting on children's achievements and to use this information effectively to influence future learning and convey progress in report writing
- Provide students with regular written and oral feedback and encourage them to reflect and respond to their feedback
- Participate fully in co-curricular and activity programmes
- Follow and implement School Policies and procedures in and out of the classroom
- Provide a safe, purposeful and well-managed learning environment
- Value the home-school-community partnership, working closely with other members of staff to establish and manage good relationships with parents and key stakeholders
- Attend assemblies, departmental meetings, parents' evenings, school functions and other staff meetings

- Take personal responsibility for evaluating and reflecting upon your teaching in order to continually develop and improve your practice

- Relevant Bachelor's Degree, ideally gained at a UK University
- UK Postgraduate Certificate of Education or Qualified Teacher Status
- Relevant class teaching experience
- Excellent working knowledge of the National Curriculum of England, ideally
- A strong academic background, stature and experience that will command the respect of pupils, parents, colleagues and the wider community
- A commitment to academic progress and the welfare and safeguarding of students
- Knowledge and understanding of recent educational developments and best practice
- An understanding of the demands of a UK independent school environment
- Experience working with children who have English as an Additional Language
- A secure knowledge of using technology to support education
- Passionate about all-round education and can inspire children to have a lifelong love of learning
- Understanding of the needs, challenges and opportunities in the context of an international community
- Positive team player
