Join our pioneering team and launch your career to new heights! WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO: Rocket Lab is developing an in-house Hall thruster! This role is a fantastic opportunity to lead the development of a world-class product from its inception through to on-orbit constellation missions. The Team Lead is responsible for leading and developing the team to support Rocket Lab's expanding spacecraft capabilities. This role will be leading highly competent engineers and technicians to deliver the new product from genesis through to flight operations and eventually into scaled production. Excellent technical communication and collaboration skills are needed to develop a product that delivers on the wide range of spacecraft missions it will support. Every day will be different; your experience, adaptability, and technical skills will help you deliver this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience leading a team from concept to flight of spacecraft hardware
- Experience with project management of cross-discipline teams
- Proven team development skills
- Degree in Engineering
- 3 years spacecraft industry experience
- 5 years total work experience
- Development of an electric propulsion system
- Flight operations of an electric propulsion system
- Production line operations of an electric propulsion system
- Degree in Engineering Management
- 8 years spacecraft industry experience
