Responsibilities
- This role is directly responsible for the management of Health and Safety in 3 large manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and administration buildings of APC-MGE Philippines
- Responsible for engendering a culture of safety consciousness, ensuring that all employees, contractors, and visitors are safe from injury and risks to health while at an APC-MGE workplace
- Build a world-class Health & Safety (H&S) function, ensuring that necessary policies and programs are established to raise further awareness of H&S in the Philippines factories
- Educate and coach managers to ensure they can manage the H&S requirements of their employees
- Ensure regular audits take place, that accidents and near-misses are being reported by employees and recorded appropriately, and that accident prevention interventions are continuously evolving
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Sciences, Engineering, or related discipline; post-graduate qualification or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
- With a minimum of 5 years of work experience in a Health and Safety function, at least 3 years of which in a Health and Safety Manager position from a multinational manufacturing organization
- Must have experience in establishing Health & Safety policies and programs, delivering training, and driving improvements in Health & Safety
- A strong understanding of Philippines Health & Safety regulations relating to the electronics and manufacturing industry
- Possess the ability to plan and organize in a complex environment subject to ongoing change is critical
- Must have experience of OHSAS 18001 or ILO-OHS 2001
