Qualifications: Bachelor of Technology/Engineering (Electrical) Nationality: Any Nationality Vacancy: 1 Vacancy Job Description:
  • Plan schedules, monitor, and review and supervise all preventive/corrective works for Airfield Lighting Infrastructure including AGL-CMS (Control & Monitoring Systems), VDGS (Visual Docking Guidance System), SAM (Safe Control Apron Management System) and Non-AGL building systems to ensure smooth operations and maintenance.
  • Responsible for the planning and management of the periodic inspections of the airfield lighting system as per ICAO requirements.
  • Oversee the purchase of all required spare parts to ensure their availability at all times. Respond to breakdown calls in a timely manner and adhere to the stipulated KPIs for minimizing downtime and maintaining optimal performance.
  • Arrange proper deployment of in-house manpower and resources to ensure maximum manpower allocation and utilization with minimal resource wastage.
  • Manage contractors by reviewing Preventative Maintenance schedules, checklists, asset lists, identifying missing assets, spare parts, and conducting Quality Audit Reviews to ensure contractor performance aligns with standard best practices, operation & maintenance manuals, statutory regulations, and safety procedures.
  • Perform asset condition surveys and asset performance assessments to ensure asset availability and reliability at all times.
  • Conform to occupational health and safety standards by reviewing contractor HSE plans to ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.
  • Supervise and manage all new projects, remedial work, or any other associated work to ensure timely completion with international standard quality and conforming to project specifications.
  • Review all project submittals in a timely manner through checking for compliance with contract documentation and project requirements to ensure adherence to design standards and specifications.
  • Prepare tender documents for new projects or retrofit work, including preparing scopes of work and bills of quantities in accordance with project requirements and stakeholder requirements.
  • Maintain the asset database integrity by delivering new projects in line with the Maintenance Integration policy to ensure all newly created or removed assets are captured and handed over upon completion.
  • Responsible for preparing Standard Operating Procedures and Risk assessments associated with the work involved.
  • Conduct safety toolbox talks for all work undertaken by supervisors and technicians to ensure all health, safety, and environmental standards are met and SOPs are followed.
  • Liaise and coordinate with other discipline staff to ensure the optimum interface of various operational activities with the overall objective of successful completion of the project/task.
  • Perform other departmental duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Desired Candidate Profile:
  • High School Qualification or Vocational Qualification or Diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years of job-related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of job-related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Science Engineering with experience in modern SCADA systems or computer-based airfield control systems used at airports.
  • Trainings and/or Certifications on ICAO certified courses.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting & administration of Control System Applications, PLC, Networking, Database systems & Data Communication systems.
  • Functional knowledge of WINDOWS Operating environment, TCP/IP standards-based applications, PLC, Object-Oriented Programming, and administration of large data network systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant ICAO/QCAA regulations & recommendations.
  • Good knowledge and troubleshooting skills with all airfield lighting circuits, ALCM, and CCR control circuits.
  • Sound knowledge both theoretical and practical on VDGS (Visual Docking Guidance System) and SAM.
  • Well-versed with Power changeover and Standby supplies operational philosophies and operations.
  • Good oral & written communication skills in English.
