Responsibilities:Surface Preparation:Conducting surface preparation tasks using blasting tools to eliminate old paint, rust, or unwanted materials. This process ensures a clean and suitable surface for the application of coatings.
Painting and Spraying:Utilizing spraying equipment to apply coatings or paint evenly on surfaces, following specific procedures to ensure a high-quality finish that withstands harsh marine conditions.
Safety Compliance:Ensuring all painting activities strictly adhere to safety protocols and regulations. This involves the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety guidelines to mitigate potential hazards.
Equipment Maintenance:Conducting regular checks and maintenance on painting equipment and tools to guarantee their functionality and safety during offshore operations.
Basic Material Knowledge:Having a fundamental understanding of paint types, coating materials, and their application methods to assist in the coating process effectively.
Team Collaboration:Working in coordination with other team members to accomplish tasks efficiently and contribute to a safe and productive offshore working environment.
Documentation and Reporting:Recording work progress, technical issues, or any incidents that occur during the painting process. This documentation provides valuable information for reports and process improvements.
Experience:Minimum of two (2) years offshore experience, one (1) year rope access with Surface Preparation and Coating Applications, TBT, PTW, Qualified and Certified to ASTM D 4228-05 (2017) as a minimum.
Certification:Have Rope Access IRATA Level 1 Certificate.
